“…The theoretical-conceptual and methodological diversification, as well as the change in the production profile were also influenced by important landmarks in professional education, including: (i) the publication of the National Curricular Guidelines in 2002; (ii) the creation of postgraduate programs in Rehabilitation Sciences (Federal University of Minas Gerais and University of São Paulo) and in occupational therapy (Federal University of São Carlos); (iii) the participation of occupational therapists professors as post-graduate supervisors in other knowledge fields; (iv) the creation of the National Network of Teaching and Research in Occupational Therapy (RENETO) and; (v) the substantial increase of occupational therapy undergraduate programs in public universities (LOPES et al, 2016).
