Abstract: The emergence of nanotechnology has enabled the development of novel corrosion inhibition methods. Nanoparticles are highly effective inhibitors due to physicochemical properties like large surface area and tunable size/shape. They form protective surface films through adsorption and barrier mechanisms to separate metal substrates from corrosive environments.
