“…In order to achieve ultra-high data transmission rate, high-order modulation schemes will be used in this wireless system [28] [29].The simulations of polar coded OFDM systems over Nakagami-m fading channel ( = 2) with 256QAM are carried out here, and the results are shown in Fig. 6.…”

“…Conventional BIPCM uses an interleaver to improve the decoding performance. As shown in [6], the interleaver is unnecessary if the code construction takes the mapped bit-level difference into account. In our design, the MC method is applied in the code construction, which not only considers the mapped bit-level difference but also frequency selective fading on OFDM subcarriers.…”

“…In our design, the MC method is applied in the code construction, which not only considers the mapped bit-level difference but also frequency selective fading on OFDM subcarriers. Thus, the orthogonal circulant matrix transform (OCT) used to overcome frequency selective fading in [6] is also unnecessary. MC method generates random information bits to calculate coded symbols repeatedly and transmit them over the ILC system.…”

“…Hong et al propose that the OCT-enabled FDS-precoding method shows a better BER/SNR performance than discrete the Fourier transform (DFT)-enabled FDS-precoding method in the VLC communication system to combat the effect of frequency-selective fading. To further improve the system capacity, [23]we proposed a 256 QAM OFDM modulation scheme coded with bit interleaved polar based on OCT precoding. M. Chen et al in [24] had fully studied the comparison of different precoding methods from the Peakto-Average Power Ratio (PAPR), tolerance of nonlinear distortion, computational complexity and BER performance, and so on and showed that the FDS-precoding method based on the complex valued OCT had a high computational complexity.…”
