Abstract: Tanah lempung dari perkebunan Kasuratan Buha Manado (ruas Jalan Kasuratan), karena pada ruas jalan dimaksud terjadi kerusakan jalan di beberapa titik, yang diasumsikan diakibatkan kemampuan dukung subgrade kurang memadai. Nilai CBR tanah lempung murni sebesar 3%. Substitusi 25% lempung dengan tailing, memberikan nilai CBR sebesar 8%, dimana nilai ini lebih besar dari nilai persyaratan CBR minimal untuk perkerasan jalan sebesar 6%.
