Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of knowledge and factors that influence goat farmers on the use of complete feed in Anggana District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. The research material involved goat breeders as respondents who were in Anggana sub-district, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan Province. The research was conducted from May to June 2022. The sample of respondents was determined using the total sampling method of 37 people from 2 villages, namely Sidomulyo Village and Kutai Lama Village. Farmers' knowledge data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Match Paris Test and z test, then EP (Instruction Effectiveness) and EPP (Knowledge Change Effectiveness) were used to determine the effectiveness of the counseling given during the study. The results show that the level of knowledge of goat farmers regarding the utilization of agricultural waste as complete feed had increased. The increase in knowledge of farmers regarding aspects of complete feed had increased after counseling by 30.75, namely: the score before counseling was 3.16, while after counseling the score became 33.91. Factors affecting farmers’ knowledge level include age, education, farming experience and number of livestock ownership. The level of EP and EPP from the calculation results were 282% and 347%, respectively. This indicates that the EP and EPP in this study fall into the effective category
