“…In total, clitoral structures from 2432 biological females ( n ) aged 18–84 years‐old were recorded (Table 1). However, O' Connell and Delaney (2005), also supported their rationale for the name change of the vestibular bulbs on an MRI study of healthy women (more recent but similar MR images are found in Yang et al, 2005;Hosseinzadeh et al, 2012;Bowen et al, 2022) that highlights highly vascular tissue (see Figure 1C). This work does indeed support the presence of highly vascularized tissue in the anterior wall of the distal female urethra, but the bulbs seem much smaller than suggested by the illustrations in Figure 1A,B.…”
