Background: With the aims of getting evidence-based guidelines and decision making, well supported by strong, high quality data. We have developed an easy surgeon friendly mobile app which can be customized to the need by just decoding it.Methods: We have use this app to analyze the outcomes of midline rectus sheath closure with different techniques and different sutures in terms of SSI, wound dehiscence, suture knot granuloma, burst abdomen and incisional hernia(IH). All the details regarding patient’s demographic status, surgical technique, suture used and follow up were recorded in the form of EDC (Electronic Data Collection) with the mobile app.Results: Total 595 cases with mean age 48 years underwent midline closure. The most preferred technique was continuous running technique with polypropylene suture (54.1%) followed by herringbone technique with polypropylene suture (27.7%), continuous running technique with polyglactin suture (18. 2%).The incidence of IH was 4.05% with continuous running technique with polypropylene suture. The data of desired variables can be accessed easily just by few clicks.Conclusions: This mobile app is reliable, fast, cost effective, and generates a credible and valid data along with the basic statistical analysis.

The drooping tip followed by residual hump were the main complaints reported by the patients and confirmed by the objective examination by the physicians. The presence of nasal obstructive complaints in 37.2% of the patients shows that greater attention needs to be paid to functional deformities during the first surgical procedure. The differences observed between patients' complaints and surgeons' evaluations confirm the need for detailed assessment and clarification to the patients regarding their expectations and actual surgical possibilities.

Introduction The knowledge and study of surgical techniques and anthropometric measurements of the nose make possible a qualitative and quantitative analysis of surgical results. Objective Study the main technique used in rhinoplasty on Caucasian noses and compare preoperative and postoperative anthropometric measurements of the nose. Methods A prospective study with 170 patients was performed at a private hospital. Data were collected using the Electronic System Integrated of Protocols software (Sistema Integrado de Protocolos Eletrônicos, SINPE©). The surgical techniques used in the nasal dorsum and tip were evaluated. Preoperative and 12-month follow-up photos as well as the measurements compared with the ideal aesthetic standard of a Caucasian nose were analyzed objectively. Student t test and standard deviation test were applied. Results There was a predominance of endonasal access (94.4%). The most common dorsum technique was hump removal (33.33%), and the predominance of sutures (24.76%) was observed on the nasal tip, with the lateral intercrural the most frequent (32.39%). Comparison between preoperative and postoperative photos found statistically significant alterations on the anthropometric measurements of the noses. Conclusion The main surgical techniques on Caucasian noses were evaluated, and a great variety was found. The evaluation of anthropometric measurements of the nose proved the efficiency of the performed procedures.
