Objective:To understand spirituality/religiosity as experienced by people with sickle cell disease, and its influence on coping with the disease. Method: A qualitative, descriptive, and exploratory study conducted in the State of Bahia. Twenty-nine respondents participated in semi-structured interviews. Content analysis was used to analyze the empirical material. Results: Individuals with sickle cell disease experience spirituality/ religiosity motivated by their hope for a miracle, and fear of death; among their rites are: reading religious materials, individual and group prayer, and attendance at worship services. The effects on their health include: comfort by means of coping by comparing two evils, anxiety relief, social support, and lifestyle changes; however, spirituality/ religiosity may be impaired. Final considerations: This study demonstrates the need to qualify health professionals to address spiritual issues of these individuals during illness, with the aims of diagnosing suffering and anguish, and providing care, comfort and strengthening of the spiritual bonds of these individuals. RESUMOObjetivo: Compreender a Espiritualidade/Religiosidade vivenciadas por pessoas com doença falciforme e sua influência sobre o enfrentamento da doença. Método: Estudo qualitativo, descritivo, exploratório, realizado no Estado da Bahia. Participaram 29 pessoas que responderam a entrevistas semiestruturadas. O material empírico foi submetido a análise de conteúdo. Resultados: Pessoas com doença falciforme vivenciam a Espiritualidade/ Religiosidade motivadas pela esperança de um milagre e por medo da morte; seus ritos são as leituras de textos religiosos, orações individuais e em grupo, e frequência a cultos; os efeitos sobre sua saúde são: conforto através do coping de comparação, alívio da ansiedade, apoio social, mudança no estilo de vida, porém a Espiritualidade/Religiosidade podem manifestar-se prejudicadas. Considerações finais: Este estudo ressalta a necessidade da qualificação dos profissionais de saúde para a abordagem das questões espirituais dessas pessoas adoecidas, com a preocupação de diagnosticar possíveis sofrimentos, angústias e assim prestar auxílio, conforto e fortalecer os vínculos espirituais desses indivíduos. Objective: to investigate the influence of spirituality/religiosity in the context of drug abuse. Methods: this is an integrative review, conducted on the databases Web of Science, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences and SCOPUS. The following descriptors were used in the Portuguese and English languages: drug users, spirituality, religion, drug abuse treatment centers and treatment outcome. Results: eight articles were analyzed, among which there was a prevalence of publications of the year 2015 and of quantitative studies. The studies approached mainly the prevention of drug abuse, the change of the user's behavior and the religious/ spiritual confrontation. Conclusion: spirituality/religiosity seems to be a positive factor for drug users facing treatment, as well as in the protection against the abusive use of these psychoactive substances. Descriptors: Spirituality; Religion; Drug Users. Objetivo: investigar a influência da espiritualidade/religiosidade no contexto do uso abusivo de drogas. Métodos: trata-se de uma Revisão Integrativa, realizada a partir das bases de dados Web Of Science, Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde e SCOPUS. Utilizaram-se, nos idiomas português e inglês, os seguintes descritores: usuários de drogas, espiritualidade, religião, centros de tratamento de abuso de substâncias e resultado do tratamento. Resultados: foram analisados oito artigos, dos quais houve predomínio de publicações do ano de 2015 e de estudos quantitativos. Os estudos mostraram principalmente a prevenção do uso de drogas, a mudança de comportamento do usuário e o enfrentamento religioso/espiritual. Conclusão: a espiritualidade/religiosidade parece favorecer uma ótica positiva frente ao enfrentamento do tratamento de usuários, bem como na proteção ao uso abusivo dessas substâncias psicoativas. This article describes the process of elaboration and use of a script in research for social dimension's analysis in the process of Problem Based Learning (PBL) in a course of health area. It is a descriptive inventory that was constructed based on previous studies and applied to analyze 69 problems or paper cases that trigger the teaching-learning process and their respective tutor guides which drive tutors of the first four medical years of a Brazilian public faculty. Documentary analysis of qualitative approach was carried out from a dense description. The script consisted of nine axes that characterized the profile of the characters and contexts of the problems, being: identification, space, competence area, health surveillance, living conditions (socio-environmental aspects and psychosocial aspects), access to health services, bonding, autonomy and diversities and vulnerabilities. The focus of this article is on the script itself and how it can guide the construction of problems and the detailed analysis of the social dimension in health courses whose curricula are mediated by the PBL.
