Abstract: KEYWORDSA novel fluorescent co-polymer with an organoboron quinolate and an E-BODIPY (BODIPY: 4,4-difluoro-4-bora-3a-4a-diaza-s-indacene) moiety was synthesized with the aim of producing a donor-acceptor polymeric system where the organoboron quinolate acts as the donor and the E-BODIPY moiety is the acceptor. The polymer has three prominent absorption bands: 264 nm (corresponding to the organoboron quinolate), 397 nm (corresponding to the organoboron quinolate and BODIPY) and 516 nm (corresponding to the E-BO… Show more

“…4 Difluoroboradiaza-s-indacene (BODIPY) represents an outstanding class of fluorophore with high quantum yield, large molar absorption coefficient, high chemical, thermal and photophysical stability. 2,[5][6][7][8] The development of new BODIPY derivatives has become a booming of research due to their potential applications in luminescent devices, chemical sensors, biological labeling, and photovoltaic cells. [9][10][11][12] Major efforts have been devoted to obtain the welldesigned BODIPY structures by modifying of the pyrrole core, fusing some aromatic rings to the BODIPY core, and replacing the 8-carbon atom with a nitrogen atom to form aza-BODIPY.…”
