Abstract:Este artigo apresenta algumas considerações sobre a tradução do conto “The Garden Party”, da autora neozelandesa Katherine Mansfield. Os comentários são divididos em três seções. A primeira está relacionada ao conceito de culture-specific items, de Javier Franco Aixelá (1996), que discute a tradução de termos específicos da cultura da língua-fonte.
