Abstract: Abstract:The graft copolymer with semi-interpenetrating polymer networks (semi-IPNs) from 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) and natural rubber (NR) latex was prepared using cumene hydroperoxide and tetraethylene pentamine redox initiator system. The changes of grafting ratios and grafting efficiency with the reaction time and temperature, the concentration of crosslinking agent, initiator and monomer were investigated. The appropriate amounts of crosslinking agent (0.1phr), initiator (0.2phr) and monomer (20p… Show more

“…En la figura 4-1 se presenta el espectro del látex. La banda alrededor de 3313 cm -1 corresponde a vibraciones del grupo funcional O-H. Las bandas entre 1389 cm -1 y 2792 cm -1 están relacionadas con la vibración del grupo funcional C-H (Wei et al, 2014). La banda alrededor de 1652 cm -1 corresponde vibracional estiramiento de los enlaces C=C, el cual es característico en cis-1,4-polyisoprene (Aielo et al, 2014).…”

“…As a result, leaching the proteins caused improved interaction between rubber molecules from nearby particles, resulting in a more coherent film [ 42 ]. Moreover, the excess calcium nitrate and water-soluble non-rubbers, such as additional compounding components, are also removed, which improves physical properties [ 43 ]. As shown in Table 3 , the leaching LC films displayed greater tensile strength than the unleached NR latex film.…”

“…Therefore, the superhydrophobicity of TFP−PDMS with the collaborative property of self-cleaning ability has resulted in washing out the deposited particles, minimizing the growth rate of P. mirabilis than other two catheter materials that were moderately hydrophobic (silicone) and hydrophilic (siliconized latex). 51 However, this phenomenon was valid only for the flow system. In the static system, the calcium and magnesium particles were free to be deposited on the catheter surface, providing sufficient time for bacterial growth.…”
