Abstract: The tretinoin peel, also known as retinoic acid peel, is a superficial peeling often performed in dermatological clinics in Brazil. The first study on this was published in 2001, by Cuce et al., as a treatment option for melasma. Since then, other studies have reported its applicability with reasonable methodology, although without a consistent scientific background and consensus. Topical tretinoin is used for the treatment of various dermatoses such as acne, melasma, scars, skin aging and non-melanoma skin ca… Show more

“…Twelve signals were fine-mapped to variant sets contained entirely within the transcript of a single gene with >95% posterior probability (PP), although we note that this does not provide conclusive evidence for the effector gene. Of note, ALDH1A2 , which fine-maps to 6 intronic variants with 99% PP, is currently the target of approved drugs in use for other indications, providing a potential opportunity for drug repositioning ( Sumita et al., 2017 ) ( Table S8 ).
Figure S1 Identification of involved tissues, related to Effector genes and biological pathways and STAR Methods Heatmap depicting tissue-specific gene-regulatory region enrichment significance (-log10 P value) for all osteoarthritis GWAS phenotypes.

“…16 The retinoic acid peel is a superficial peeling often used in Brazilian clinics to treat various disorders such as acne, melasma, skin photoaging, and nonmelanoma skin malignancy. 17 Inspired by our result, we recommend using both therapies together in AN treatment, where four sessions of peel are done firstly with 14 days of interval, for secure moderate peeling acceptable to the patient, followed by fractional CO 2 laser sessions to obtain an optimum cosmetic outcome without recurrence. In this situation, laser parameters and sessions can be modified consequently.…”

“…Thinning of blood vessels and loss of elastin also play a major role in an aged appearance. 2 While the physiologic changes of aging occur uniformly throughout the body, some regions may be more apparent, such as the periocular region and the neck. A youthful neck is characterized by thin soft tissue with well-defined underlying musculature, as well as a cervicomental angle of 75° to 90°.…”
