Qualidade de vida em voz, avaliação perceptivoauditiva e análise acústica da voz de professoras com queixas vocais

Abstract: Purpose: Correlating the Voice-Related Quality of Life (VRQOL), perceptual-auditory and acoustic assessment of teachers with vocal complaints. Methods: The study included 74 teachers aged between 20 and 62 years (mean 38.75 years). Self-assessment of VRQOL, voice perceptual-auditory assessment, acoustic voice analysis of glottal and spectrographic source, in narrowband (NB) and wideband (WB) and relevant statistical analysis were carried out. Results: There was a negative correlation between VRQOL and fundamen… Show more

“…The decrease in jitter may point out more regularity in vocal fold mucosa vibration, which match the decrease of noise in vocal quality 25,28,29 . The increase in harmonic-to-noise ratio corresponds to the amount of harmonic against the amount of noise in voice, which means the overall decrease of noise in voice, including amplitude variations and frequency, turbulence noise, sub-harmonic components, and voice breakdowns 28 , corroborates to the other findings of acoustic analysis.…”

“…Roughness is a noisy voice quality that indicates vocal folds vibration irregularity, regardless the noise vibration frequency because it contemplates both hoarseness and harshness 24,25 . Breathiness is the audible presence of air in voice 24 .…”

“…Moreover, even with a basic pattern of normality that identifies the voice quality, it should be noted that the talks generally consists of an aspect which toggles through circumstances of human beings, i.e. still depends on physical or psychological conditions (CIELO et al, 2015).…”
