Abstract: The objective of this study was to describe a miniscrew supported spring for uprighting of mesially inclined molars. With this device, one can achieve the correct use of orthodontic biomechanics, thus favoring more predictable tooth movements and preventing unwanted movements from occurring.

“…Treatment includes surgical exposure of the occlusal surface of the molar by excising overlying mucosa followed by employment of a removable or a fixed molar uprighting spring. (30)(31)(32)(33)(34)(35)(36) Management of Impacted Third Molars: Usually the Extraction of Third molar is done in cases where second molar is extracted, it can be dealt with same as second molar impaction.…”

“…i n in prosthetic adaptation when the inclination is excessive. 1 Molar uprighting into its correct position leads to the normalization of functional and periodontal occlusion situation, enabling the roots to be positioned perpendicular to the occlusal plane so that they are better able to resist to occlusal forces, in addition to facilitating the plane of insertion of the prosthesis parallel to the long axis of the tooth.…”

“…This adjunctive treatment may take up to months, even with miniscrew-assisted mechanics. [2][3][4][5] Clinical evidence has shown that orthodontic treatment time can be reduced by superficial decortication procedures. [6][7][8][9][10] The mechanism was summarized as the induction of a transient stage of osteopenia via decortication lines and points around the teeth to be moved to enhance bone and periodontal turnover.…”
