Abstract

EditorialRevista Brasileira de Parasitologia Veterinária, the official means of communication of the Brazilian College of Veterinary Parasitology, presents the publication of issue 1 of its volume 24, 2015. Dissemination of published papers is being achieved and we now have greater international visibility. Teamwork continues to be very important, along with cooperation between authors, reviewers and assistant scientific editors. The RBPV is in the SciELO database and has reached a JCR of 0.961 (2013) and, according to the latest assessment by CAPES, is classified as B1. The journal is a means for disseminating veterinary parasitology. Identification of the prevalence of fish parasites has increased over the last two years and is a growing field of research. The tools used in molecular diagnosis are always present in studies on protozoa, rickettsia, helminths and arthropods. We thank authors for their collaboration and reviewers and scientific editors for their tireless voluntary work in evaluating articles. Our dreams have not grown old but, rather, are being renewed every day, and the RBPV is nourished through constantly evolving scientific knowledge.
