Abstract: This is a qualitative research which aimed to describe how users of alcohol and other drugs perceive their treatment in an operational group focused on teaching-learning health care. Os grupos de apoio, conhecidos como grupos operativos, são importantes por serem considerados como suporte para que os usuários mantenham-se em abstinência, pois se apresenta enquanto espaço para diálogo e aprendizado, de forma que o saber é valorizado em uma construção coletiva (17) .
