Abstract Introduction:Intensive Care Units are facilities to admission of clients in serious condition with a favorable prognosis. Therefore, these customers need human resources and specialized technician in order to recover their health. Objective: Verify the satisfaction of clients and their family members through the care received during hospitalization in the Intensive Care Unit. Patients and Methods: This is a descriptive and quantitative study, conducted with 34 individuals, 17 clients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit and their family members through structured interviews in 2013. Two instruments and structured questions were used, one for the customer and other to the family members. We used the software Excel Windows 7 Ultimate ® to analyze data. Results were presented as charts and tables. Results: Most customers were males, while the family members were female. All clients reported they were treated well by the nursing staff. Most of them said they had the opportunity to talk to the team about the treatment, and they had a good relationship with the team. Conclusion: In general, clients and family members are satisfied with the care provided by the nursing staff in intensive care units.
