Objective. To evaluate the influence of the use of digital applications in medicament calculation education for nursing students. Methods. An experimental study was developed with a sample of 100 nursing students, who were divided randomly into two groups (use of the Calculation Medicines -CalcMed application -available free on the Internet, n=50) and control (conventional method of the calculator use and pre-math skills, n=50). Both groups were assessed before and after the application of the teaching strategy through a test with ten specific questions of medicament calculations. Results. The study group showed a mean score of 8.14 versus an average of 5.02 in the control group. The average time of test execution was faster in the study group compared to the control group (15.7 versus 38.9 minutes). Conclusion. The strategy of using this application positively influences learning and enables greater security in the implementation of medicament calculations.

Objective:To describe the steps in creating a digital application directed to teaching vital signs for nursing students. Method: This is a methodological study, conducted from March to October 2014, in which have followed the stages of analysis, design and development of technological tool, based on the theoretical framework of Galvis-Panqueva. We conducted a narrative review of the literature on the subject, and then picked up the best platform for application hosting. Results: Once the steps proposed in the theoretical framework were followed, the analysis outlined the content and technological infrastructure. As for the design, it provided the assessment of the environment and its interface and operation, and fi nally the development materialized the projection of the design and interactive features proposed in previous steps. Conclusion:The application is an interactive support in the training of nursing students, and it is suggested that validation of content be performed for further practical application. RESUMOObjetivo: Descrever a etapa de criação de um aplicativo digital direcionado ao ensino de sinais vitais para acadêmicos de enfermagem. Método: Trata-se de um estudo metodológico, desenvolvido entre março a outubro de 2014, no qual foram seguidas as etapas de análise, desenho e desenvolvimento da ferramenta tecnológica, com base no referencial teórico de Galvis-Panqueva. Realizou-se uma revisão narrativa da literatura sobre o tema e, em seguida, escolheu-se a melhor plataforma para a hospedagem do aplicativo. Resultados: Seguidas as fases propostas no referencial teórico, a análise permitiu delimitar conteúdo e infraestrutura tecnológica; já o desenho proporcionou a avaliação do ambiente e sua interface e operacionalização e, por fi m, o desenvolvimento materializou a projeção do desenho e recursos interativos propostos na etapa anterior. Conclusão: O aplicativo constitui um suporte interativo na formação de estudantes de enfermagem, e sugere-se que seja realizada sua validação de conteúdo para aplicação prática posterior. RESUMO: Trata-se de pesquisa exploratória qualitativa, cujo objetivo foi analisar intenções e valores de um recurso computacional para auxílio ao ensino do processo de raciocínio diagnóstico. Após aprovação por Comitê de Ética, foram entrevistados seis docentes de enfermagem, cujos discursos foram submetidos à análise de discurso. Os temas foram agrupados em nove subcategorias, sendo cinco relacionadas às intenções: facilitador de processo de raciocínio clínico, auto avaliação e avaliação do aluno, reflexão sobre a prática, facilitador do ensino-aprendizagem e indutor de mudança; e quatro aos valores: utilidade para prática assistencial, inovação, aprendizagem e capacitação contínua. Verificou-se que os docentes assimilaram a necessidade da utilização de recursos computacionais, mas enfatizam que esse somente beneficiará o aluno a desenvolver o raciocínio se o aprendiz realizar estudos paralelos. A análise evidencia que o recurso pode aperfeiçoar o processo de raciocínio diagnóstico e dinamizar o estudo de uma maneira interativa, sem preterir o método tradicional de ensino DESCRITORES: Informática em enfermagem; Tecnologia educacional; Educação em enfermagem; Aprendizagem. COMPUTER RESOURCES FOR ASSISTING IN THE TEACHING OF DIAGNOSTIC REASONING: IDENTIFIED INTENTIONS AND VALUESABSTRACT: This is exploratory qualitative research, with the objective of analyzing the intentions and values of a computer resource for assistance in the teaching of the process of diagnostic reasoning. Following approval from the Ethics Committee, six professors of Nursing were interviewed, whose discourses were submitted to discourse analysis. The issues were grouped into nine subcategories, five being related to the intentions: facilitative for the process of clinical reasoning, self-evaluation and evaluation of the student, reflection on practice, facilitative for teaching-learning, and inductive of change; and four to the values: utility for assistential practice, innovation, learning and continuous training. It was ascertained that the professors assimilated the need for computer resources, but emphasize that this only helps the student to develop the reasoning if the student carries out parallel studies. The analysis evidences that the resource can improve the process of diagnostic reasoning and energize study in an interactive way, without disadvantaging the traditional method of teaching.
