Abstract: Resumo O trabalho analisa a trajetória das propostas de perfil profissional definidas na orientação dos currículos de cursos de Odontologia no Brasil até a implantação das novas diretrizes curriculares nacionais. É analisada também a situação atual dos cursos que adotaram tais diretrizes e a adesão ao Pró-Saúde, com orientação de formação para os serviços.
