Influence of antihypertensive pharmacological treatment on the acute cardiovascular responses to the resistance exercise in hypertensive middle-aged women

Abstract: To investigate the hypothesis that the resistance exercise (RE) may be safer if the blood pressure (BP) is properly controlled through antihypertensive pharmacological treatment in hypertensive middle-aged women. Methods: The final sample was comprised of 19 hypertensive women, with an average age of 58±5 years and a body mass index of 29±5 Kg/m 2.
