Pimplinae (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae) em um fragmento de Cerrado na Reserva Biológica Unilavras/Boqueirão, Ingaí, Minas Gerais, Brasil

Abstract: Abstract:The composition of Pimplinae taxocenosis (Hymenoptera, Ichneumonidae) was investigated in the Reserva Biológica Unilavras/Boqueirão, Ingaí, Minas Gerais. Samples were collected using two Malaise traps (Townes model), installed in a gallery forest and a savanna area between April 2005 and February 2006, totalizing 16 samples in each environment. One hundred specimens of Pimplinae were collected, being represented by 26 species and distributed in 12 genera. Pimpla and Neotheronia were the most abundant … Show more

“…Pimpla croceiventris is widely distributed in the Neotropical Region and N. lineata is frequently encountered from Mexico to Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay (Gauld 1991). In comparision, P. croceiventris represented 27% (Tanque & Frieiro-Costa 2011), approximately 1% (Kumagai & Graf 2000), 0.3% (Kumagai & Graf 2002) of Pimplinae species from Paraná state, and 25% in samples from Minas Gerais state (Kumagai 2002). N. lineata represented only 2% of sampled pimplines in Kumagai & Graf (2000), 3% of total in Kumagai & Graf (2002), 4% in Tanque & Frieiro-Costa (2011) in Paraná state and 12% of the total in Minas Gerais state (Kumagai 2002).…”

“…Most of the data from Brazil are from checklists for the states of Paraná and Minas Gerais (Kumagai & Graf 2000, 2002, Kumagai 2002, Tanque & Frieiro-Costa 2011. Thus, there is still a gap in the knowledge of this group in the country that needs to be filled.…”

“…The flight interception traps type Malaise (Townes, 1962;1972) are applied for sampling different kinds of insects, besides social wasps, such as Diptera (Andrade-Filho et al, 2008), Coleoptera (Linzmeier et al, 2006) and different families of Hymenoptera with single habits (Tanque & Frieiro-Costa, 2011;Kumagaia, 2002). The Malaise trap, due to the possibility of exposition for long continuous periods in autonomous way (Andrade-Filho et al, 2008), are commonly used individually or in small amounts.…”
