Editorial note

Abstract

In the past two years, steps have been taken to consolidate the BJB internationally. The main objective of the Editorial Board of the Brazilian Journal of Biology this year is to complete the Journal's international indexation. Since every prerequisite has been met, the Editorial Board has already initiated procedures for indexation in the ISI. By the end of the first semester of 2002, we hope to have achieved our goal.
