“…In some countries, a lot of women were troubled reaching a health facility to get service due to long distance and this leads to Neonatal Near Miss [35]. The same evidence from Brazil show that long distance from a health facility (≥ 15 km) were the major factors caused Neonatal Near Miss [12][13][14]. It is scienti ically known that being nearby health facility helps to get any necessary health services on time by the right person at the right places and also access to healthcare services improves overall population health status.…”

“…Para haver redução dos óbitos pós-neonatais, é fundamental usufruir dos programas lançados pelo Ministério da Saúde, como o Programa Saúde da Família e o Programa Nacional de Imunizações, bem como haver investimento governamental na área social, educação e infraestrutura, para que assim melhorem os indicadores de natalidade, morbidade e mortalidade no país (24) . Ao se analisar os óbitos evitáveis em estudos semelhantes (16,25) , identificou-se elevados números de óbitos infantis reduzíveis por adequada atenção à mulher na gestação e parto e ao recém-nascido. Isso indica que, quando diagnóstico e tratamento são realizados em tempo apropriado, grande parte dos problemas maternos apresentados na gestação, como ruptura prematura das membranas ou doenças maternas renais e das vias urinárias, parte das mortes infantis poderiam ser evitadas (16) .…”
