Abstract: RESUMO -O experimento foi conduzido para avaliar a degradação ruminal de matéria seca (MS), proteína bruta (PB) e fibra em detergente neutro (FDN) de silagens de capim-elefante submetido a emurchecimento ou à adição de 0, 7, 14, 21 ou 28% de farelo de cacau (FC) durante a ensilagem. Amostras de cada silagem foram incubadas no rúmen de três vacas holandesas por períodos de 0, 6, 12, 24, 48, 72, 96, 120 e 144 horas.
