Show more

“…The highest probability of syllable omission occurred in word medial position. That fact disagrees with a study which verified that the stressed syllable of the metrical foot presented more cases of omission, and the weak syllable of the foot was more conservative 23 . In relation to the following syllabic context, it was observed higher occurrence of syllable omission when it was followed by open syllable and simple onset and also by syllable with complex onset.…”

“…It is also emphasized that the restrict number of occurrences of the variables epenthesis and some others and the not occurrence of metathesis in the studied corpus made the statistical analysis involving those strategies impracticable. Those findings agree with a study that verifies that the children with phonological disorders performed words with metathesis less frequently 23 .…”

“…This data disagrees with a recent study in which the repair strategies in the constituents of the complex onset were analyzed. The authors verified that for the strategy C¹V in cases of phonological disorders, the voiceless labial plosive obstruent was favorable for that process 16 . Even so, it is verified that there is influence of the complex onset obstruent in the correct production of the structure.…”

“…Several researches had the purpose of verifying the intervenient variables during the acquisition of the segment which is in the coda position, by children with typical phonological development 4,9,10 . Considering the syllabic complexity of the blocked structure, it is believed that intervenient factors may influence the hold of this structure 1,11 . Those intervenient factors, which are detailed and exemplified in the method may be linguistic (tonicity, number of syllables, precedent phonological context, following phonological context, word position, complexity of the syllable onset, segmental complexity of the coda element, position of the (C)VC syllable in relation to the metrical foot, type of phonological development) and extralinguistic (gender and age).…”
