Show more

“…It was noteworthy that increasing the concentration of NAA had an inhibitory role in the production of shoots on both genotypes (A228 and A140). This was also observed from a study with the medicinal plant Satureja hortensis L., in which increasing concentrations of NAA diminished the number of shoots (Navroski et al, 2014). On the contrary, NAA stimulated the emission of shoots by an interaction with BAP in clones of Eucalyptus globulus Labill.…”

“…The highest NR value (7.54) was observed in plants treated with 0.025 mg L -1 NAA, in the absence of BAP (Table 6). A similar response was observed during the in vitro multiplication of Satureja hortensis L. stem segments (Navroski et al, 2014) in cultivation medium containing a low concentration of NAA and no BAP. The effect on NR provided evidence of the role of auxin in root development.…”

“…Research on the genus Satureja L. reports that it is distributed in 30 species around the globe, and that it has beneficial properties for human health, such as in the treatment of pain caused by oxidative stress. Therefore, the essential oils from leaves and stems of Satureja spicigera L , Satureja cuneifólia L, and Satureja hortensis L. have compounds that work as antioxidants [ 82 , 83 ].…”
