Complex segregation analysis of nonsyndromic cleft lip/palate in a Chilean population

Esses ped… Show more

“…The aims of this study were to investigate the mode of inheritance of CL/P among the FN population of BC using complex segregation analysis and to review the etiologies of CPO cases. This is the first study reporting results from complex segregation analysis of CL/P in any aboriginal population because comparable studies in South America all involve Amerindian and European admixed populations (Blanco et al, 1998).…”

“…Some studies about mode of inheritance of oral clefts have been done in South American populations but only for non‐syndromic cleft lip and palate (9–12). To take advantage of a large sample from Latin American Collaborative Study of Congenital Malformations (ECLAMC), in the present analysis we evaluate the pattern of inheritance of non‐syndromic cleft palate in a South American population.…”
