Sementes desprovidas do tegumento e semen… Show more

“…Cid, Machado, Carvalheira and Brasileiro (1999), for example, obtained good germination percentages for the Eucalyptus spp. in an MS-zero medium; similar results were obtained for the Cagaita (Eugenia dysenterica), using the same medium and yielding almost 90% germination (Martinotto et al, 2007). Rodríguez (2013) obtained a 68.00% germination result for the Red Strawberry Guava (P. cattleianum) using an LPm medium (Von Arnold & Erikson, 1981).…”

“…The percentage of emerged cagaita plants (PSE) was higher than observed by Souza et al (2001), who reported 80.6%. Martinotto et al (2007) reported that the removal of the integuments from the E. dysenterica seeds favored in vitro germination, reaching close to 90%.…”

“…The fruits were transported to the Laboratory of Plant Tissue Culturing (LCTV) of the Goiano Federal InstituteCampus of Rio Verde (17°48′16″ S latitude, 50°54′19″ W longitude and 753 m altitude), where were pulped and the seed coats were removed to facilitate germination (Martinotto et al, 2007). The study was conducted in a greenhouse at the LCTV.…”

“…The species also stands out for its medicinal properties, since its fruits, leaves, and bark are used to treat diarrhea, diabetes, and jaundice. In addition, cagaita is indicated as a melliferous and ornamental plant and it may also be grown in the degraded areas for reforestation (CAMILO et al, 2014;MARTINOTTO et al, 2008;SILVA et al, 2001;VIEIRA et al, 2010).…”
