Abstract: Este estudo objetivou analisar o impacto psicológico do diagnóstico do câncer de mama a partir dos relatos apresentados espontaneamente por mulheres acometidas pela doença durante as sessões de um grupo de apoio. Utilizando-se o critério de saturação, foram selecionadas 18 sessões do referido grupo de apoio, das quais, no total, participaram 93 mulheres.
