O texto apresenta reflexão sobre patrimônio imaterial, no âmbito do trabalho desenvolvido para o Iphan, relativo ao Inventário Nacional de Referências Culturais. Busca analisar os limites da metodologia adotada por essa instituição para inventariar celebrações, ofícios e modos de fazer, lugares e formas de expressão dos quilombolas de Alcântara, Maranhão.<br>This paper presents reflections on intangible heritage within of the work to Iphan concerning the National Inventory of Cultural References.
