No Português Brasileiro, aproximadamente entre 4 ou 5 anos de idade, a criança já adquiriu todos os fonemas do sistema fonológico adulto. Porém, este processo nem sempre ocorre de acordo com o esperado, verificando-se afastamentos/desvios na aquisição dos sons da fala. O objetivo deste trabalho foi verificar e comparar a evolução do sistema fonológico de crianças com desvio fonológico submetidos à terapia fonológica, acrescida ou não de estimulação das habilidades práxicas orofaciais. A amostra foi composta por seis sujeitos (três meninas e três meninos), com idades entre 5:4 e 7:0 no início da terapia. Os sujeitos foram divididos em três grupos, recebendo todos terapia fonológica, sendo os do grupo estudo tratados com estimulação de habilidades práxicas de face e língua (GFoLFa), e com exercícios de habilidades práxicas de língua (GFoL), e o grupo controle submetido apenas à terapia fonológica (GFo). Todos foram avaliados pré e pós-terapia quanto ao sistema fonológico (Yavas, Hernandorena e Lamprecht, 1991); ao Teste de Praxias Orofaciais (Berzoatti, Tavano e Fabbro, 2007); e ao Teste de Praxias Articulatórias e Bucofaciais (Hage, 2000). Os resultados foram analisados e descritos comparando os três grupos. Os resultados obtidos evidenciaram que todos os grupos apresentaram evoluções no inventário fonético, o GFoLFa obteve evoluções maiores no PCC-R. Conclui-se que os grupos que receberam intervenção práxica obtiveram maiores evoluções fonológicas, porém, sugerem-se novos estudos aplicando este modelo, para que possam ser confirmados esses resultados, com outras amostras.

Purpose: To verify whether the stimulation of groups of sounds results in greater phonological changes than the stimulation of single sounds, and to analyze the occurrence of generalization across and within sound classes. Methods: The sample comprised ten children with phonological disorders, with ages between 4 years and 8 months and 7 years and 3 months, divided into two groups.Group 1 (G1) was treated by the Multiple Oppositions approach, and Group 2 (G2), by the ABAB-Withdrawal and Multiple Probes approach. The treatment of G1 consisted of stimulation of the contrast of many sounds presented together, while the treatment of G2involved stimulation of only one target sound per cycle of treatment. It was analyzed the number of absent sounds and the occurrence of generalization across and within sound classes, pre-and post-treatment. Data were statistically and descriptively analyzed. Results: G1 acquired more sounds than G2; however, this difference was not significant. Considering the generalization within sound class, G1 presented major changes, while generalization across sound classes was greater for G2, although none of these results were statistically significant. Conclusion: Both methods favored changes in the phonological system of the children studied, allowing the acquisition of phonemes and the occurrence of generalizations. There is no difference between them regarding treatment effectiveness.

Purpose: To compare the occurrence of altered phonological processes and to use the severity index of phonological disorder to compare speech and writing samples from dyslexic students and students with good academic performance. Methods: Participants were 34 students of both genders from second to fifth grade, with ages between 8 years and 11 years and 11 months, divided into: G1 (17 students with interdisciplinary diagnosis of dyslexia) and G2 (17 students with good academic performance). Naming and imitation tasks (ABFW) comprising, respectively, 34 pictures and 39 words were used. Elaboration of a thematic writing was also requested, based on a logic sequence of pictures. Results: Dyslexic children in this study presented lower performance than the students with good academic performance regarding, in speech, the phonological process of consonant cluster simplification (imitation task), and, in the analysis of the writing production, the criteria: unaltered cursive trace, functional dysgraphia, hyposegmentation, and correct spelling. However, the severity of phonological disorders of speech and written samples was mild in both groups. Conclusion: Students with dyslexia presented alterations in phonological processes and in writing, with lower performance when compared to the students with good academic performance. As for the severity index PCC-R for speech and written samples, both dyslexic students and those with good academic performance were classified as mild.
