Expressão livre de jovens por meio do Fanzine: recurso para a terapia ocupacional social

Abstract

ResumoIntegrando as atividades do Núcleo UFSCar do ME-TUIA que, há mais de dez anos, vem desenvolvendo intervenções sociais calcadas na terapia ocupacional social, na educação e na defesa da cidadania, voltadas para o universo juvenil, este estudo realizou Oficinas de Atividades com jovens que frequentavam uma Escola Pública e/ou um Centro da Juventude, ambos equipamentos sociais de um bairro periférico, com o intuito de elaborar, confeccionar e distribuir fanzines. Tinha-se por objetivos a potencialização de formas alternativas de comunicação, da livre expressão, da criação dentre os jovens, assim como a análise do processo da construção do fanzine como recurso para a terapia ocupacional social, em práticas que articulavam espaços formais e não formais de educação. A discussão do processo de intervenção, tanto em termos da educação quanto da ação terapêutico-ocupacional, ocorreu a partir de autores tais como Paulo Freire e aqueles do campo da Terapia Ocupacional Social. Dentre seus resultados, verificou-se que os processos em torno do fanzine constituíram-se um recurso para a promoção de reflexões relacionadas a vivências daqueles jovens, para a ampliação de seus repertórios e possíveis projetos individuais e coletivos, permitindo a expressão de opiniões que questionam instituições, como "família", "escola", "polícia", e o "tráfico de drogas". As possibilidades da circulação do fanzine e de seus conteúdos adensam esse recurso, tornando-o, do ponto de vista dos seus realizadores, paradoxalmente interessante e "perigoso" pela exposição que provoca, requerendo o diálogo e a articulação entre juventude, comunidade e equipamentos sociais, fomentando tecnologias sociais. Roseli Esquerdo Lopes AbstractMETUIA's centre at UFSCar (Federal University of São Carlos) has developed, for more than ten years, social interventions in the youth universe based in Social Occupational Therapy regarding education and citizenship defense. This study made use of Activities Workshops with youngsters that attend to a Public School and/or a Youth Center located in the suburb. The objective was to elaborate, produce and distribute fanzines, in order to enhance alternative ways of communication, free expression and creative process, as well as to analyze the production of fanzines as a resource of social-occupational therapy, in practices that articulate both formal and non-formal spaces of education. The discussion of the intervening process, both in terms of education and of therapeutic occupational actions, has been done based in Paulo Freire and other similar authors in the field of Social Occupational Therapy.
