Based on this assumption, the research seeks to identify the representations of genres portrayed by the princesses of two versions of the films Cinderella and Bela and the Beast, highlighting the opinion of some adolescents on the narratives and female protagonists. The theoretical contribution is based on studies related to the cinema and its influence, the social construction of the feminine gender and the analogies of the predominant representations in the versions of the films Cinderela of 1950 with the one of 2015 and the Beauty and the Beast of 1991 with the version of 2017. The field research was carried out with five adolescents of the female gender, aged 13 to 15 years old, through questionnaires and conversation, after watching the last two versions of the mentioned films. The results point out that there is an advance in relation to female representation, yet the stereotypes related to youth, thinness, beauty, goodness, among others, are reinforced, which influence the formation of the new generations, as is the case of the five adolescents who dream about the prince and identify with the Disney princesses.
