O olhar de meninos de grupos populares sobre a família

Abstract

O presente estudo objetivou investigar a forma como meninos pertencentes a grupos populares representam suas famílias. Com esse intuito, realizou-se um estudo qualitativo com a aplicação da técnica do desenho-estória. Participaram do estudo seis meninos, com idade entre oito e doze anos incompletos. A avaliação dos dados coletados deu-se por meio de análise de conteúdo. Os resultados mostram que os meninos têm uma percepção interna de família idealizada, que não corresponde à família real. A figura da mãe recebeu um investimento maior quando comparada com os demais membros da família. Por outro lado, o pai não recebeu igual destaque, figurando da mesma forma que outros integrantes do grupo familiar, apontando uma posição fragilizada da figura paterna. Também se fizeram presentes alguns membros da família extensa, indicando a importância destes na organização e no funcionamento das famílias de grupos populares.
