Evaluation of peritoneal reinfection after fecal peritonitis

Abstract: PURPOSE:To investigate the role of a previous abdominal infection on peritonitis. METHODS:Twenty-seven adult female Wistar rats were submitted to fecal peritonitis by an intraperitoneal injection of a solution of rat feces.
