Efeito do óleo de copaíba nas aminotransferases de ratos submetidos à isquemia e reperfusão hepática com e sem pré-condicionamento isquêmico

Abstract: Copaiba oil did not change AST levels in groups studied. Analysing ALT, this oil did not change its values in animals were realized just hepatic ischemic-reperfusion, however, it had levels increase in IPCCG when compared to IPCG Between IRCG and IPCCG, ALT levels were not statistical different.

“…In liver lesions and transplants, temporary blockage of hepatic blood flow is sometimes necessary to facilitate surgical maneuvers [1,2]. Since 1908, Pringle proposed full clamping of the hepatic pedicle (hepatic artery, portal vein, and the common bile duct) to restrain hepatic hemorrhages [3].…”

“…This finding supports the hypothesis that the model used here induced initial liver injuries, although we were not able to demonstrate cell lysis or cholestasis, conditions directly associated with high serum levels of transaminases [ 49 ]. The tissue lesions that occur in advanced stages of NAFLD, such as steatohepatitis, liver fibrosis, and cirrhosis, are aggressive hepatic lesions which involve massive hepatocyte necrosis and increased circulating levels of aminotransferases [ 50 ]. Even in the initial phase of liver disease, the hepatoprotective effect of baru oil was a remarkable finding, particularly considering that nontreated conditions (i.e., dyslipidaemia) can develop into NAFLD, liver failure, and death [ 51 , 52 ].…”
