Abstract: Um aumento da susceptibilidade à infecção severa é uma complicação reconhecida da esplenectomia. Um grande número de alternativas tem sido propostas que poderiam impedir esta complicação do estado asplênico. O presente estudo analisa a regeneração histológica do tecido esplênico em ratos submetidos a esplenectomia subtotal.
