Investigação em Educação Ambiental na América Latina: mapeando tendências

Abstract: RESUMO: O presente artigo analisa a situação da pesquisa em Educação Ambiental na América Latina. Com destaque ao México e ao Brasil, também se mencionam descrições gerais da Colômbia, de Cuba, do Equador e da Venezuela. Apresentam-se os limitados avanços da pesquisa nessa área, marcada por um processo lento, com gradual posicionamento institucional acerca da Educação Ambiental regional. “…The relative infancy of this field of research in developing nations and the associated struggles incurred by such early stages of development may also explain the lack of studies coming from Latin America in international journals. This context notwithstanding, outdoor education research has been gaining prominence in Latin America and bringing some of their findings to the international audience can only contribute to the further development of the field locally and globally (González-Gaudiano & Lorenzetti, 2009).
