Abstract: The monotypical genus Schizocordulia is created for Schizocordulia rustica (Selys, 1871) comb. nov. known from a single male from Bahia, Brazil lacking the anal appendages. The female is described and the redescription of the male made by GEIJKES (1970) is completed by the description and illustration of the penis, the anal appendages and the pilose plate.
