We present the first species amphibian list for municipality of Coari, state of Amazonas, Brazil. The list was drawn up as a result of data obtained from specimens deposited in the Herpetological Collection of the Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi and inventories conducted in the Urucu Petrol Base, in 2003-2004 and 2007-2009. Sampling methods included pitfall traps with drift fences and time constrained searches. We considered the data collected by other researchers, incidental encounters and records of dead individual on the road. Fifty four species were recorded. Rhinella gr. margaritifera (n= 68), Adenomera gr. marmorata (n= 59), and Osteocephalus leprieurii (n= 20) were the most collected, while ten species were less collected. Compared with other studies in eastern Amazonia, the region of Urucu presented a large number of anurans. Nonetheless, it ́s not possible to confirm this because the data collected were not standardized among studies. However, further studies by, increasing the sampling effort, could prove this area to be richer in anurans than that observed so far.

The Anolis chrysolepis species group is distributed across the entire Amazon basin and currently consists of A. bombiceps and five subspecies of A. chrysolepis. These lizards are characterized by moderate size, relatively narrow digital pads, and a small dewlap that does not reach the axilla. We used the mitochondrial gene ND2 to estimate phylogenetic relationships among putative subspecies of A. chrysolepis and taxa previously hypothesized to be their close relatives. We also assessed the congruence between molecular and morphological datasets to evaluate the taxonomic status of group members. On the basis of the two datasets, we present a new taxonomy, elevating each putative subspecies of A. chrysolepis to species status. We provide new morphological diagnoses and new distributional data for each species.

Neste trabalho é apresentado a lista de espécies de anfíbios anuros da Fazenda Jaburi. Município de Espigão D'Oeste, Estado de Rondônia, enfocando os ambientes utilizados durante a atividade reprodutiva em áreas de floresta primária c campos de pastagens. Foram registradas 31 espécies para esta localidade pertencentes as seguintes famílias: Bufonidae (3), Dendrobatidae (2), Hylidae (17), Leptodactylidae (7) e Microhylidae (2). A maioria das espécies (24) ocorreram no interior e na borda de floresta primária. Quatorze espécies foram observadas em atividade reprodutiva nos campos de pastagens, enquanto nove espécies foram encontradas apenas dentro de floresta primária.
