ResumenEste texto surge de reflexiones críticas sobre acciones e investigaciones relacionadas con la constitución docente y su articulación a prácticas formativas vivenciadas en la formación inicial y continuada de profesores de ciencias. El estudio tiene como objetivo comprender cuestiones referidas al aprendizaje escolar y sus implicaciones en el desarrollo del pensamiento humano, atendiendo al abordaje histórico-cultural referenciada por Vigotsky, Leontiev y Elkonin.El proceso es de carácter cualitativo y se enfoca desde la construcción de sentidos y significados. Se realizan lecturas rigurosas de publicaciones, relatos, disertaciones, tesis, diarios de campo, documentos y otros registros producidos al interior del grupo de investigación durante los últimos 25 años, con el ánimo de generar comprensiones sobre los procesos de constitución docente, mediante relaciones entre la formación inicial y continuada de profesores.El ensayo, expresa la comprensiones sobre el aprendizaje escolar y los diferentes estadios de desarrollo del pensamiento humano, en el trascurso del texto, se describen algunas prácticas formativas desarrolladas junto a profesores en formación inicial y continuada frente a la apropiación de sus conocimientos. Finalmente se desarrollan sugerencias, acerca del trabajo docente y su sentido, advirtiendo que, la ruptura entre significado y sentido, conlleva a la alineación de la labor, comprometiendo o desvirtuando dicha actividad.

AbstractThis text is the result of critical reflections about actions and research related to the training of teachers and its link to education practices experienced in the initial and continued training of science teachers. The study aims to understand issues related to school learning and how they affect the development of human thinking, based on the historical-cultural approach referenced by Vigotsky, Leontiev, and Elkonin.The process is qualitative in nature and focuses on the development of sense and meaning. It conducts in-depth readings of publications, stories, dissertations, theses, field journals, documents and other records produced in the research group over the past 25 years, in order to generate an understanding about the teacher training processes through connections between the initial and continued training of teachers.The paper expresses the understandings about school learning and the different stages of development of human thought. The text describes some training practices developed with teachers during their initial and continued training regarding their appropriation of knowledge. Finally, the paper makes suggestions about teaching work and its meaning, advising that the rupture between sense and meaning leads to the alignment of the work, either compromising or distorting said activity.
