Abstract: RESUMO -Com o objetivo de utilizar o hipoclorito de sódio no desenvolvimento de novo teste para avaliar rapidamente a qualidade das sementes de cafeeiro, por meio da estimativa da germinação, o presente trabalho foi realizado com quatro lotes de sementes de cafeeiro (Coffea arabica L.), cultivar IAC Catuaí 44 e quatro lotes da cultivar Rubi.
