Abstract: ResumoO coco babaçu (Orbignya speciosa) é constituído por quatro partes. Epicarpo, mesocarpo, endocarpo e amêndoas. Atualmente o coco babaçu é coletado e descascado manualmente por mulheres e crianças, sendo um dos problemas sociais da região Nordeste/Norte do Brasil.
