Neoplasias uroteliais papilíferas superficiais da bexiga (pTa e pT1): correlação da expressão do p53, KI-67 E CK20 com grau histológico, recidiva e progressão tumoral

Abstract: The p53 showed good correlation with histological progression and histologic grade. Ki67 was strongly associated with recurrence and histological grade, and CK20 was also associated with these variables.

“…For example, COX-2 has been shown to be highly expressed in upper urinary epithelioma by cDNA microarray analysis [ 16 , 17 ]. Other studies also reported the correlation between COX-2 expression level and the invasion, metastasis, and prognosis of bladder papillary tumors [ 18 ].…”

“…Immunocytostaining has been used as a common method to improve the accuracy of cytodiagnosis. In particular, p53 and Ki-67 have been used as prognostic markers in the detection of various cancers [7][8][9][10][11][12]. () Indicates the number of PPAR-γ-positive cases.…”

“…Reactive atypical cells in benign cases often show nuclear swelling. For atypical cells with an N:C ratio greater than or equal to 0.5 and a nuclear area less than 43.765 μm 2 , as shown in Figure 3B, it may be necessary to consider the use of auxiliary techniques, such as immunochemical staining 14–17 …”
