Propagação vegetativa de Cordia trichotoma (Vell.) Arrab. ex Steudel por estaquia radicular

Abstract: RESUMO -Louro-pardo (Cordia trichotoma (Vell.) No primeiro experim… Show more

“…A major advance in vegetative propagation of cordia was the production of plantlets by rooting juvenile radicular minicuttings (KIELSE et al, 2013), which were used to successfully establish a clonal minihedge of the present research. Ministumps of seminal and asexual origin did not differ for mini-cuttings production, regardless of the concentrations of the nutrient solution for fertirrigation.…”

“…Thus, while carbohydrate quantity and root formation may be positively correlated, carbohydrates do not have regulatory function in these processes (HARTMANN et al, 2010). In louro-pardo (Cordia trichotoma), volume of root cuttings affected shooting but not rooting (KIELSE et al, 2013) and in alamo (Populus tremula x tremuloides) it affected rooting, but not shooting (STENVALL et al, 2006). The results of this study showed that commercial substrate and vermiculite, without the presence of sand in the composition, favor the survival and rooting of ipe-roxo mini-cuttings.…”

“…In addition to the potential to compose a forest stands, the choice of a native species for commercial plantations depends strongly, among other factors, on the knowledge of silvicultural aspects related to the production of seedlings. In this context, Kielse et al, (2013) states that the propagation of cordia via seeds has been hampered by the rapid loss of viability, caused by the recalcitrant behavior to storage. Mafra (2019) also mentions that there are differences between the parent plants in relation to the potential for seed emergence and advises that cordia seeds should be planted soon after collection.…”

“…As for vegetative propagation, studies show that cloning this species is a challenge, and it was not possible to define an efficient plantlet production protocol so far (Fick, 2007;Heberle, 2010;Kielse, 2015;Kielse et al, 2013). The most expressive result was obtained by Kielse et al (2013) who observed 45% rooting of root cuttings treated with 30 mM of indolebutyric acid (IBA).…”
