Show more

“…The mean water level (h b ) was obtained from the annual mean of heavy rainfall (above 70 mm) and 24-hour duration between 1981 and 2014 from the annual data of three rainfall stations in the municipalities of Alfenas, Machado and Paraguaçu, MG (ANA, 2016). The physical characteristics of the subbasin, such as shape, symmetry, sinuosity, channel development, drainage density, width, length and perimeter, were obtained using GIS by geoprocessing according to the specialized literature (OLSZEVSKI et al, 2011;VILLELA;MATTOS, 1975). “…Source: Gavrilovic (1988). development, drainage density, width, length and perimeter, were obtained using GIS by geoprocessing according to the specialized literature (OLSZEVSKI et al, 2011;VILLELA;MATTOS, 1975). The soil losses were determined by the EPM using IntErO software (SPALEVIC, 2011), the distribution of soil losses was determined using GIS in ArcGIS 10.3 (ESRI, 2015), and the raster calculator tool was used to generate the final map of soil losses.…”

“…The field survey allowed the determination of landscape development patterns for different lithological units in the catchment, indicating factors that act as controllers in the relation between rainfall and discharge in this mountain region. Olszevski et al (2011) evaluated the morphology and the hydrological aspects by using morphometric characteristics of the terrain and the drainage network in order to predict the hydrological behavior. Lopes (2012) used topographic attributes for trying to establish the relation between topography and discharge in the Altíssimo Rio Negro catchment (PR/SC).…”
