Crescimento de mudas de abacaxizeiro cv. Vitória durante a aclimatação em função do seu tamanho inicial¹

Abstract: O abacaxizeiro cv. Show more

“…During the study period, pineapple seedlings did not reach the minimum value of 30 cm recommended by Berilli et al (2011) as the ideal value for leaf rosette diameter of seedlings suitable to field conditions. The best approximation was provided by the goat manure without hydrogel, when "Vitória" obtained 28 cm at day 270 of acclimation and "Imperial" obtained 27.4 cm at day 270 ( Figure 3).…”

“…This happened earlier when the manure was used without the hydrogel (17.1 leaves at 190 days) ( Figure 1B). Berilli et al (2011) claim 17 visible leaves of acclimated seedlings to be the minimum appropriate amount to transfer them to the field. The goat manure provided in general greater increases in the number of leaves for "Vitória", which may be attributed to the higher N content in its composition (Table 1).…”

“…At 210 days of acclimatization, treatments standard substrate (SS) and standard substrate with carbonized rice husk (SS + C) showed plant height (PH) below (≤ 13.8 cm) the 20-30 cm recommended for field planting (Berilli et al, 2011;Mendonça et al, 2017) (Table 4). Table 4 -Shoot and root growth of the 'Pérola', 'Vitória' and 'Imperial' pineapples as function of the substrate.…”

“…The use of organic compound Organoamazon® (ORG) provided pineapple cultivars with PH over 60.9 cm, value two to three times higher than the 20-30 cm adopted by Mendonça et al (2017) and Berilli et al (2011), ideal for field planting (Table 4).…”
