ABSTRACT:The destruction of the cotton crop residues (cotton stalks) is a mandatory procedure in Brazil for prophylactic issues, but is a subject unexplored by the research and there are few studies that deal with this issue. However, this is not encouraged in recent decades, studies aimed at developing and evaluating equipment for this purpose. The present study had the objective to evaluate six methods for mechanical destruction of cotton crop residues. Each method was defined based on the principle of operation of the active parts of the equipment, which were tested in medium texture soil and in a clayey one. The variables used to evaluate the efficiency of the equipment were the regrowth rate, the theoretical field capacity and energy demand. The equipment with convergent concave disks (DCC) and flat cutters discs from manufacturer A (CPS-a) showed the best results in cotton stalks destruction in both soil types. The harrow disc (GPD) was efficient only in clay soil. It was concluded that the equipment with convergent concave disks, among those tested, was the most efficient to destroy cotton stalks, regardless of soil type, and that the harrow disc was not included among the best performers. AVALIAÇÃO DE DESTRUIDORES DE RESTOS CULTURAIS DO ALGODOEIRORESUMO: A destruição dos restos culturais do algodoeiro (soqueira) é um procedimento, por questões profiláticas, obrigatório no Brasil, mas é um assunto pouco explorado pela pesquisa e são escassos os trabalhos que tratam deste tema. No entanto, este fato não estimulou, nas últimas décadas, estudos que tenham como objetivo desenvolver ou avaliar equipamentos com esta finalidade. O presente estudo teve como objetivo avaliar seis equipamentos para a destruição mecânica dos restos culturais do algodoeiro. Eles foram classificados segundo o princípio de funcionamento de seus órgãos ativos e foram testados em solos de textura média e argilosa. Os equipamentos testados foram uma grade pesada de discos, dois destruidores de duplo disco planos cortadores, dois destruidores com lâmina plana e um destruidor de duplos discos concorrentes As variáveis utilizadas para avaliar a eficiência dos equipamentos foram o índice de rebrota, a capacidade de campo teórica e a demanda energética. O equipamento com discos côncavos convergentes (DCC) e com discos planos cortadores do fabricante A (DPC-a) apresentaram os melhores desempenhos na destruição de soqueiras de algodão, nos dois tipos de solo. A grade pesada de discos (GPD) foi eficiente apenas no solo argiloso. Concluiu-se que o equipamento com discos côncavos convergentes foi, entre os testados, o mais eficiente para destruir soqueiras de algodão, independentemente do tipo de solo, e que a grade pesada de discos não constou entre os de melhor desempenho.

ResumoNo Brasil, atualmente, além de não existir um centro de ensaios obrigatórios, são poucos os trabalhos que visam determinar o desempenho dos tratores agrícolas. Os testes de desempenho dos espécimes são feitos pelos fabricantes e, por não ser exigida a divulgação oficial dos relatórios, os consumidores só dispõem de informações do próprio fabricante. Diante disso, objetivou-se com o presente trabalho avaliar as condições de tração dos tratores agrícolas em relação a quatro faixas de potência e tipo de tração. Para isso, foram analisados de um universo de 191 tratores, os seguintes parâmetros: força de tração máxima estimada na barra de tração (BT) e relação força de tração/peso. Alguns desses parâmetros foram avaliados em diferentes condições de solo e lastragem. Os resultados demonstraram que os modelos de tratores na faixa de potência de 147 kW e tração 4x2 TDA apresentam os melhores valores para força de tração máxima estimada. A força de tração máxima é maior para tratores da faixa de 147 kW, e tração 4x2 TDA.Palavras chave: Desempenho, Máquinas agrícolas, Tração. Traction conditions for agricultural tractors manufactured and marketed in Brazil AbstractIn Brazil today, beyond there is no mandatory testing center, there are few studies aiming to determine the performance of agricultural tractors. Performance tests of the specimens are made by manufacturers, and because the official reports disclosure is not required, consumers have information only from the own manufacturer. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the performance the conditions tractor of the agricultural tractors with manufactured and/or sold tires in Brazil in relation to power ranges and type of traction. To do so, from 191 agricultural tractors, we calculated the following parameters maximum traction force at DB and relative traction force/weight. Some ofthese parameters were evaluated under different soil and ballast conditions. The results showed that the power range 147 kW and 4x2 TDA traction type present the best values for estimated maximum traction power. It can be concluded that the maximum traction force is higher for the range tractors 147 kW, power over and traction type 4x2 TDA backed.

Tomato culture has great importance among vegetable crops, and Brazil is the 5th largest producer worldwide. Faced with an increasing mechanization in this culture, this study aimed at evaluating the energy demand in fertilization and transplanting operations to the implementation of tomato crop. The study was conducted at Santa Rosa farm, in the municipality of Morrinhos -GO. The experimental design was a randomized block with four replications, combined three displacement speeds and three engine speeds in each operation. The traction force, the power in draw bar, and time, specific and operational fuel consumptions were evaluated. The results showed that traction force and power had greater influence with increasing displacement speed. The traction force and power in fertilization operation were influenced by the depth of shanks. The power demand of mechanized sets has been changed by displacement speed, where used tractors proved to be oversized. There was a lower operational fuel consumption in the two fertilization and transplanting operations due to tractor over sizing.Additional keywords: available power; fuel consumption; mechanized operations. ResumoA cultura do tomate possui grande importância dentre as olerícolas, sendo o Brasil o 5 o maior produtor mundial. Diante de uma crescente mecanização nessa cultura, este trabalho teve o objetivo de avaliar a demanda energética nas operações de adubação e transplantio para a implantação na cultura do tomate. O estudo foi desenvolvido na fazenda Santa Rosa, no município de Morrinhos -GO. O delineamento experimental foi o em blocos casualizados, com quatro repetições, combinando-se três velocidades de deslocamento e três rotações do motor em cada operação. Avaliaram-se a força de tração, a potência na barra de tração e os consumos: horário, específico e operacional de combustível. Os resultados demonstraram que a força de tração e a potência apresentaram maior influência com o aumento da velocidade de deslocamento. A força de tração e a potência na operação de adubação foram influenciadas pela profundidade das hastes sulcadoras A demanda de potência dos conjuntos mecanizados foi alterada pela velocidade de deslocamento, onde os tratores utilizados se mostraram superdimensionados. O consumo operacional em ambas operações apresentou o mesmo comportamento, onde, nas maiores velocidades de deslocamento e menores rotações, houve menor consumo em função do superdimensionamento dos tratores.Palavras-chave adicionais: consumo de combustível; operações mecanizadas; potência disponível.
