POLICIES FOR CHILDREN FROM 0 TO 3 YEARS: CONCEPTS AND DISPUTES
AbstractIn Brazil, Early Childhood Education policies have advanced significantly in recent years. However, the field is still full of tensions and disputes with dissonant proposals for small children. This work aims to discuss different conceptions present in the policy aimed at children from 0 to 3 years who are often litigants, emphasizing the different actors who are dedicated to the theme and its militancy. We present a brief history of the Creche in Brazil, highlighting the tensions around this service. Finally, we discuss the different concepts present in childhood education policies, and as the argument that early education of poor children, as a possibility to fight poverty and low educational outcomes, is gaining strength, and neuroscience as an epistemological assumption.
