Caracterização morfológica de adultos de Nusalala tessellata (Gerstaecker, 1888) (Neuroptera, Hemerobiidae)

Abstract

ABSTRACT. Morphologic characterization of adult of Nusalala tessellata (Gerstaecker, 1888) (Neuroptera, Hemerobiidae). Adult of N. tessellata is redescribed based on morphological characters. 533 specimens were collected in São Paulo state in plantations of citrus (Santa Rosa de Viterbo), soybean (Nuporanga), cotton (Ribeirão Preto) and corn (Ribeirão Preto and Jaboticabal). Some other additional specimens collected on Sorghum bicolor (Lavras-MG) and Ilex paraguariensis (São Mateus do Sul, Cascavel-PR) were also studied. Illustrations obtained by SEM are given by first time.

Temporal variation of Brown and Green Lacewings (Neuroptera: Hemerobiidae and Chrysopidae) collected with McPhail traps from a fruit orchard in Southeast Brazil

“…The specimens of Neuroptera obtained were placed in 2 mL Eppendorf microtubes, properly labeled; 70% ethanol solution was used as a preservative.For the study of the obtained specimens, respective genitalia were prepared according toSosa et al (2015). The specific identification of Hemerobiidae was based onMonserrat (2000) andLara & Freitas (2002), and identification of Chrysopidae, was based onAdams & Penny (1985),Freitas & Penny (2001) andFreitas et al (2009). The effect of environmental variables (average temperature, relative humidity and rainfall) on the abundance and richness of Neuroptera was assessed by the analysis of linear regression using Vegan package(Oksanen et al 2015) of the statistical software R (R Development Core Team 2016).Were obtained 187 specimens of Neuroptera, which belong to two families and seven species.…”
